My name is Albert (Per) Sandberg, was born in 1977 in Värnamo sweden. After moving around about 11 times in my life I've settled down in in Svängsta (south-east sweden, blekinge region) working as a full time tile layer. I have my own house here which I and my cat Zelda are quite pleased to live in.

I've been using the nick "thec" since around 1995, because on the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) network, my current handle at the time, The Colonel, didn't fit the 9 character nick restriction they had back then.

This led me to start using the shortened version of the nick, thec, and it's prounounced "tech". A bit backwards and most people think it's "the c". Which one you prefer I don't mind, but you will not catch my attention with the latter one :-)

My main interest would be snowboarding, which I try to do each year and done so for the last ten years or so. I use a freestyle (if available) board at 153cm length, standing regular 0 degrees in back and 15 front.

Another big interest of mine is my car. It's a Saab 900 -97 2.0T Talladega (185hp) model which I've modified a bit        with a sport air intake filter and planning to fit it with a new exhaust system from ferrita. Later I will also tune it by chipping the engine to use it fully as a sporty car. More adjustments to the car will be made, such as painting the side panels red instead of black etc but I'm in no hurry :-)

Besides that I program quite a bit when inspired, write articles from time to time and watch a whole lot of movies. I own a playstation 2 and a NES to satisfy any gaming needs.

I also visit demoparties from time to time, a place where you meet up with friends, drink a few beers, talk a lot about demos and demomaking of course and compete in the demo competitions. But mainly it's a social event for my part, meeting up with the friends I know from pretty much around the globe.

When programming for the web, I prefer php over asp (and I utilize javascript mainly for ajax purposes),when I program graphics I prefer C++ over everything else (because I like the speed and Object Oriented Programming), when using databases I use MySQL, but would probably prefer PostgreSQL if that was offered to me. I use linux exclusivly as platform since 2001, only used windows on a seperate computer to run some poker clients a while back.

When I program I rather like coding on a bit larger projects (around one year development time or more) because I think that alot of my programming "fun" lies in structuring and perfecting frameworks. I do not neccessary make libraries for others to use, but to help development of so called demos. Visit www.scene.org for more information on demos.

In july 1995 I and a friend founded Outbreak. This is a so called demogroup which purpose is to try make cool graphics synched to music. Everything in a demo is made by persons in the demogroup. A musician makes the soundtrack, the graphic artists makes 3d models and 2d art and the coders program effects and binds together it all to a (often) 3-4 minute long showoff.
